Removing The Front Disc Hub.
Just a quick picture process of getting the front disc hub off, incase you need to get to the speedo drive or just change the front brake disc.
Obviously you start by supporting the front of the machines weight with a small jack, then remove the front wheel and brake caliper.... now youll see the disc hub, first thing to do is remove the split pin.
Once thats out you can remove the castle nut cover and gain access to the 24mm nut behind it, now just undo this, the shaft is fixed so it wont turn with the wheel...
Once the nuts undo and removed, you can simply pull the hub unit away from the machine like this... You can now change the disc if thats what you can here to do.
The wheel has 2 different types of bearing fitted, a normal ball race one side, held in with this circlip..
And a needle roller bearing on the inside... youll notice this side is greased as it has the speedo drive built into it as well.
